Letter from Aspreys dated 1930 at one time affixed to the title with a paper clip leaving resultant rusty mark.

Luxury goods illustrated, amongst much else, include: luggage, dressing cases, enamel and silver toilet sets, sports sticks, motor mascots, field glasses, desk sets in shagreen. tortoiseshell cigarette tubes, cut glass, pens, gold cigar boxes, woven gold and platinum purses, etc. etc. Much in the Art Deco style.

Extremities rubbed, light wear to headbands, paper of upper inner joint cracked but very firm. Overall a very good copy in the de-luxe issue binding of half-morocco.

Spine chipped, both boards detached, title dust marked.

Buyers names and prices realised added in a contemporary hand, perhaps that of James Bindley (1737-1818; a commissioner of stamp duties; a collector of books & engravings). The title page is inscribed at head, "Mr Bindley, Stamp Office". The sale of Bindleys collection upon his death raised over £29,000.

Very rare. No copy cited on Copac.
