Finely bound in an unusual three-quarter marbled calf, green cloth sides, the spine gilt ruled with six compartments and on wide raised bands; four of the compartments gilt blocked with racing motifs, the remaining two gilt lettered direct, top edge gilt. The binding by Riviere.

Oval leather gilt armorial bookplate of Walter Blake on front and rear pastedowns. Newspaper portrait of the trainer Reg Day mounted on front fly.

Well extra illustrated and very finely bound; spine sunned else in excellent condition.
