Finely bound full contemporary fine grain crimson morocco, sides ruled in gilt enclosing large gilt corner ornaments, spine gilt in compartments and on raised bands, gilt lettered direct, all edges gilt, inner gilt dentelles; a little very light rubbing here and there but overall excellent and most attractive.

Crack to paper of gutter between frontispiece and engraved title but not affecting the hinge itself which remains absolutely firm.

1920's prize inscription on front pastedown signed N. Egerton Leigh.

Nicely bound modern quarter brown calf, gilt lettered direct, marbled boards. Small attractive bookplate. In excellent condition and very clean internally.
